Is pre-printing available?

LLT will print your bar code for you, add logos and colors. Colors printed in 4-color process, up to 6 color spot, screens, floodcoats and with full bleeds. See art specifications for the file formats and media accepted.

When do you need thermal transfer vs direct thermal labels?

Thermal Transfer Labels typically have a longer shelf-live than direct thermal labels. Direct Thermal Labels are not recommended for environments with high heat/humidity or exposure to sunlight. Direct Thermal Labels are read by either visible light or infra-red scanners. You should determine what type of scanners will be used before puchasing this material.

When do you need Direct Thermal Printing vs Impact Printing for receipt printing.

Direct Thermal Printing: Faster Characters/Inch. No ribbons to buy. Impact Printing: Receipts can be duplicate and triplicate. Two-colors of ink can be printed on the receipt.
